The minister said that power shortages in Sabah state could be overcome with substations generating up to 20 MW using mobile power generating sets.</p>

In Sabah, there are three biomass plants currently supplying power to the grid: Kina Biopower, Seguntor Bioenergy, and TSH Bioenergy  in Tawau.</p>
