Clenergen in the Philippines to install up to 34MW of biomass plants

In the Philippines, Clenergen will design and install up to 34MW of biomass plants for Rio Tuba Nickel Mining at several of its mining operations in Palawan province. The first demonstration plan with be a 2MW facility using Beema bamboo chips as a feedstock.
Clenergen will sell the electricity to Rio Tuba under a long-term agreement at a fixed rate per kilowatt hour, plus annual adjustments for inflation. Rio Tuba hopes to save 30% on the cost of its electricity using the biomass power.
