Midwest Biogas to break ground in Iowa on world’s largest biomethane project, using dairy, ethanol waste as feedstock
In Iowa, Midwest Biogas announced that it will break ground in Albert City early in 2010 on a $120 million project that will become the world’s largest producer of biomethane, with a n estimated capacity around 15,000 cubic meters per hour. The plant will also produce power and fertilizer from egg producer and ethanol plant waste.
The first phase of the project will come online in 2011 and the project as a whole will be complete in 2012. project will come online in 2012.
