NatureWorks brings bio-based products to Copenhagen Summit
In Denmark, at the Bella Center where the United Nations global conference on climate change will be held, every one of the 15,000 dignitaries, including U.S. President Barack Obama, will stand, walk, and rest their feet on a carpet made from renewable plant material, not from oil. The plastic resin is made in the United States by NatureWorks.
In support of the UN Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen, NatureWorks will be involved in a range of activities, including product placement in the main conference hall, new materials for the Nordic Fashion Association’s Copenhagen Fashion Summit, and a unique biotechnology showcase highlighting the latest innovations for everyday life.
Among other events planned featuring biomass-based products, on December 9th at the Copenhagen Opera House, the location for the Nordic Fashion Industry fashion sustainability summit, Ingeo will be featured in a runway show of sustainable fashion as twenty designers compete. Guests will be served with Ingeo plates, cups, and cutlery, in a venue furnished with Sommer’s Eco2punch Ingeo carpet. After use, all Ingeo products will be collected and uniquely recycled.
